Hydroenergia, s.r.o. (Ltd.) was founded in 2006 with the aim to develop and realize projects of small hydro power plants in the Central and Eastern European countries. Hydroenergia Ltd. is a sister company of SolarEnergia Ltd. which was established in 2008 with the aim to develop and accomplish projects focused on energy utilization of solar energy in selected european countries.

The main goal of Hydroenergia is, in line with binding targets of European Council and European Parliament, to contribute to the increase of the share of energy produced from renewable energy sources on total energy consumption in the EU to 20% in 2020.

Hydroenergia is also focused on implementation of solutions and state-of-the-art technologies, which helps mitigate the impacts of climate change and global warming and thus corresponds to the binding target of the EU which consists in reducing the greenhouse gases emmissions by 20% by 2020 - compared to the 1990 level.

Hydroenergia cooperates with a wide range of partners in order to prepare and realize small hydro power projects. Within this collaboration, Hydroenergia is specifically focused on the following activities:

• Selection, evaluation and verification of suitable locations
• Elaboration of technical design
• Resolution of property rights
• Communication with municipalities and state authorities
• Provision of necessary documents, permits etc.
• Provision of project funding
• Provision of suppliers for all parts of hydro power plant
